1) INSTALL
  CLA installation will be started by setup.exe. Dialogs will be displayed in the following order:
 
 - Welcome dialog displays the CLA version to be installed. Upon clicking the Next button and accepting the end user license agreement (EULA) setup continues installation.
- Select Destination Location dialog displays default installation path "C:\Program Files\Licensing\License Agent\" as installation path. To change installation path, click Browse and browse the installation directory. Click Next to continue installation.
If there is already License Agent folder in the destination location from previous CLA installations, it will display a warning. Press Yes to continue or No to change another location. 
 - If there is no CLM (Customer License Manager) installed on local system, User Configuration dialog is displayed to allow user to choose user ID to access and manage CLA via CLM 
 - Service Configuration dialog is displayed to allow user to configure the service port number that CLA uses. Default port number is 61740. 
   Unless another value is set, default number will be used as port number.
 - Now, setup is ready, click Next button to start  installation.
 - Installing dialog is displayed during the installation and informs about the installation status.
 - When installation was finished, the dialog Completing the License Agent Setup Wizard dialog is displayed, installation is completed successfully by clicking Finish button.
 

2) UPGRADE
 If older version of CLA is already installed when CLA setup is started via setup.exe, upgrade of the newer version will be triggered. 
 
 - When upgrade is triggered, Setup popup box is displayed to confirm that upgrade of License Agent will be performed. Click Yes button to start Upgrade.
 - Then Welcome dialog will be displayed and same sequence of steps in the INSTALL will be followed .
 

3) UNINSTALL
  
In order to uninstall CLA run unins000.exe located in CLA installation folder. 
-When unins000.exe file is double-clicked, License Agent Uninstall dialog will be displayed. Confirm the un installation by pressing Yes.

An alternative way to uninstall CLA is the Control Panel, open Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs. 
License Agent will be in the currently installed programs list. When the user clicks on License Agent on the list, Remove button will be displayed.
 
 - When Remove button is clicked, License Agent Uninstall popup box is displayed to confirm that removal of CLA will be performed. Click Yes button to start uninstallation.
 -Uninstall status dialog will be displayed while uninstall in progress.
 - License Agent Uninstall dialog will confirm that uninstall completed. Press OK to close this dialog. 
-Please note that when there is non-empty backup folder in CLA installation folder, uninstallation of CLA will keep License Agent folder and backup folder in it. For such cases, uninstallation will give warning saying Some elements couldnt be removed. These can be removed manually.

CLA uninstallation is also possible via running unins000.exe located in CLA installation folder. 
-When unins000.exe file is double-clicked, License Agent Uninstall dialog will be displayed. Confirm the un installations, press Yes.


4) MANUAL START/STOP OF CLA (IF NECESSARY)
 
 The CLA is a service running in the background. This service starts automatically when your system starts. 
 It is also possible to start, stop, and restart the service manually. In order to do this user will open 
 Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. 
 In the services list License Agent is displayed. The user can start / stop / restart CLA via the icons on the toolbar or right clicking on the License Agent. 
 
5) IMPORTANT HINTS
 
 - Please use the latest supported CLM/CLC/CSCm versions (see Releases Notes).
- Please do not use the following characters in the installation path:
  # " %! < > | ? * and white space characters
 -SetupLog.txt file is generated in %temp% directory for keeping log of installation and update
 operations in Windows Platforms.
 
6) LICENSE AGREEMENT
 
     The license agreement is stored in the file license.txt which is shipped with the
     software. You are not allowed to install and use this software if you do not agree
     to the license agreement of the components included by the product.
